Sports Day, 8th November 2013

On the occasion of Sports Day of School & Day Care Centre at Hriday Kunj, children of School & Day Care Centre participated in different games. All the children participated with full enthusiasm. Our President Mrs. Rekha Gupta, Vice Presidents, Governing Body Members, and other Executive Members were also present during the event. Gifts were distributed among the children during the event.

Diwali Celebration, 25th October 2013

C.P.W.D. officers’ Wives Association organized a get-together and Diwali dinner at Hriday Kunj. President Mrs. Rekha Gupta, Vice Presidents, executive members, patron and retired members were present.

On this occasion Satya Goel Memorial Award for was awarded to 3 children. The 3 children are:

1. Krishnakant Meena Son of Siya Ram Meena
2.Ritu Kumari daughter of Rajesh Kumar
3.Mohini daughter of N.S Rawat

The spirit of Diwali was celebrated with befitting cultural programme and Tambola followed by contributory dinner.

CPWD Officers’ Wives Association Donates to PM's Relief Fund for Uttrakhand Victims

Smt. Rekha Gupta, President, CPWD Officers' Wives Association presented a cheque of Rs, 5,00,000/- (Rs. Five Lakh Only) to Shri Kamal Nath, Union Minister of Urban Development on 30.08.2013.

CPWD Officers’ Wives Association has been rendering not only social services for empowering needy women but also running Creche and award scholarships to needy children & women of CPWD employees on Merit-cum-Means basis. The members of the association deeply commiserate with the victims of the tragedy that has struck Uttrakhand.

Shri Sudhir Krishna, Secretary, MoUD, Shri V.K. Gupta, Director General, CPWD and other senior officers of CPWD were also present in the function.

Health Talk 19th Sep 2013

C.P.W.D. Officers’ Wives Association organized a Super Specialised Health talk on 1) Initial management and first aid of common heart problems and 2) post menopausal problem and care. Specialists in these fields gave a very useful talk on this occasion. Dr. Gauri Sen Gupta and Dr. Puneet Kaur, spoke on Heart problems and care. Whereas, Dr. Shailja Saxena gave a talk on post menopausal problems in women and its care. The members of the Association benefited from these useful lectures.

Independence Day Celebration, 12th, 13th & 14th August 2013

C.P.W.D. Offices’ Wives Association celebrated Independence Day in its different creches and School & Day care centre at Hriday Kunj. President Smt. Rekha Gupta hoisted the National Flag along with Vice Presidents and other patrons & retired members. On this occasion children participated in different cultural activities like songs, dances, drama etc. It was a great achievement for teachers who cultivated overall development of children & made them aware of their National Festival. Sweets, fruits and gifts were distributed among the children.

Teej Celebration, 7th August 2013

C.P.W.D. Officers’ Wives Association celebrated Teej Festival at Hriday Kunj. On this occasion our distinguished patrons & retired members, President Smt. Rekha Gupta, Vice Presidents, office bearers and other members of the Association were present. Songs, dances and fashion show were presented by the executive members. Churiwala and Mehndiwala added joy and colours to the festival. Celebrations were followed by contributory lunch.

Tree Plantation, 25th July, 2013

C.P.W.D. Officers’ Wives Association organised a Tree Plantation Programme at Paryavaran Bhawan, Aliganj, Jorbagh, New Delhi. President Smt. Rekha Gupta, Vice Presidents and Executive Members took part in tree plantation. It was a great endeavour of the Association as according to the environmental protection agencies, planting trees is a must if we want to save our planet.

Musical Evening,, 11th July 2013

On the eve of CPWD Day the C.P.W.D. Officers’ Wives Association organised a gala Cultural Evening in Mavalankar Hall followed by a contributory dinner in Constitution Club. Smt. Krishna Tirath, Hon’ble Member of the Lok Sabha of India and Minister of Women and Child Development, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Mrs. Sarita Krishna w/o Shri Sudhir Krishna, Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development was the Guest of Honour. Three Senior Patron members Mrs Kumud Chandra w/o Shri Harish Chandra, Late Mrs Satya Goel w/o Shri O. P Goel, and Mrs Sneh Madan w/o Shri K. K. Madan were felicitated for their invaluable and indispensable support they provided to our association. C.P.W.D. families participated in this function in large number. C.P.W.D. Super Singer Aman Trikha mesmerized the crowd by his melodious songs, leaving the crowd saying encore.

Smt. Satya Goyal Memorial Award 2013

In the sweet memory of late Smt. Satya Goyal, wife of Sri O.P. Goyal former Director General CPWD, two awards have been organised, that will be known as Smt. Satya Goyal Memorial Award. Both the awards will be of Rs. 15,000 each. These two awards will be awarded to the outstanding/talented children of employees working under group C/group D of CPWD. One award will be provided to a female student and the other to a male student.

For awarding the above mentioned awards this year, the students who have passed the 12th board exams in the year 2012-2013 are invited to nominate/apply their names in the enclosed Performa.
