The distribution function of Satya Goel Memorial Award was organized at Hriday Kunj, New Delhi in the gracious presence of President OWA, Smt. Archana Jayaswal and other Executive members.

The President awarded cheques along with the certificates for the year 2019-20 to 8 meritorious students.They are children of Work charged and group C employees of CPWD.

The scholarship money amounting to Rs.One Lakh was donated by Sh. O.P Goel in the fond memory of his late wife, Smt. Satya Goel.

The President , Smt, Udita Vats took an initiative to bring to light the hidden talents in Bal baseras. The art works done by the Bal basera children were collected and reviewed. The best ones were selected and compiled into an e-book.
Such steps are definitely a source of encouragement to these underprivileged children.

CPWD-OWA always puts a step forward to help the Nation at the time of National calamities.

The President CPWD-OWA , Smt Udita Vats took the initiative to minimize the spread of COVID-19 by distribution of thousands of reusable cloth masks to the workers at CPWD construction sites and Service Centres in Delhi.

These masks are being stitched at Hriday Kunj by our Caretaker and two other helpers.

This year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we could go to a very few dignitaries to present the Flags.
As a ritual the first visit was made to CPWD Head office at Nirman Bhavan. A flag was first presented to DG, CPWD , Sh. P.K Vats and also to all the other officers present there. All donated generously.
We also visited Hon'ble Minister Sh. Hardeep Singh Puri (MoHUA) and presented a flag.
A flag was also presented to Smt.Laxmi Puri ( W/O Sh. Hardeep Singh Puri ) at her residence.

In the time of this global pandemic of COVID-19 , OWA tried its bit to help the nation in the ongoing calamity. An amount of Rs. 5 lakhs was donated to the PM CARES FUND.

A general and dental Health check-up camp was organized for the children of our Playschool at Hriday Kunj.

Paediatricians from Kalavati Children Hospital and Dentists from Lady Hardinge Medical College examined the children.

Most children were found to be in good health.A record of height , weight and growth chart was made for every child. A few of them were found to have dental caries.

The camp was completed successfully.

OWA ( Delhi) organized a Family Picnic for its members at Buddha Jayanti Park. The arrangements were well appreciated and the members enjoyed thoroughly.

A mega event of Farewells and a Welcome ceremony was organized at Hriday Kunj.
Farewell was given to Madam Deepa Singh, Madam Vinita Garg and Madam Vandana Arora.
A very warm welcome was given to the new President of OWA, Smt Udita Vats.
There was a wide enthusiastic participation by members of OWA.The event was a great success!!!

28th January 2020.

A health check up camp for the workers was organized at the Enquiry, sector-4,R K Purum.A total of 136 workers were examined by a team of doctors from Safdarjung Hospital and the most common problem found was High blood pressure. They were advised on controlled salt intake and other Dietary measures.
All the workers were given refreshments.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION
Republic day was celebrated with much enthusiasm at Hriday Kunj Play School and Bal baseras in and outside Delhi. The National Flag was hoisted and the children sang the national anthem and patriotic songs.
Refreshments were distributed to the children.

Festival of MAKAR SANKRANTI was celebrated at the Bal baseras.
The children danced and made merry.
Packets of Peanuts and Rewri were distributed among the children.
