CPWD Officers‘ Wives Association

The welfare activity of Association started in 1971 with meagre aid of Rs. 25 per month to a needy employee of the department. Gradually welfare activities were enhanced over the years.

 The association provides monetary help to families of C.P.W.D. employees all over the country, in case of untimely death of the employees, accident causing financial hardship, prolonged illness etc.

 Donations are made to humanitarian causes like Blood Bank, Red Cross, Blind School, Missionaries of Charity, P.M.’s Relief Fund, CM’s Relief Fund. Special donations were given for upliftment of Women in Tihar Jail, lepers of Hind Kush Nivaran Sansthan, Library of ‘Tamanna’ Special School, CRY etc. Donations are also given in kind.

 Scholarships are awarded for Degree and Diploma Courses on merit cum means Basis for the children of group C & D employees. Children, particularly girls are adopted for education.

 Through CASP we adopt a girl child.

 Shri V. P.Singhal Memorial Scheme for educational assistance to a needy child of CPWD employee.

 Books and notebooks are provided to needy children.

 A scheme called "Parivar Ki Har Beti Apne Bharose" is being run, in which training is imparted to female dependent of CPWD (group ‘C’ and ‘D’) employee.
